Spiritual Coaching

A spiritual coach is someone who holds the lantern to help illuminate your spiritual path while advising how to watch for potholes, rocks, and things that go bump in the night. They encourage, teach, suggest, support, explain, correct, redirect, and provide guidance. They cannot, nor will a good one do your spiritual work for you. That is your enlightenment job. They will, however, be your strongest cheerleader as you discover with awe your own empowered path and place with purpose in the Universe. 

It is important for me to give back and say “thank you” for the blessings of my own spiritual gifts. One of the best ways for me to accomplish this is to “pass it forward” by sharing insight and knowledge with others about how to find their way through the forest, weeds, rocks, and boulders on a spiritual path. When a person realizes that small, still voice (or sometimes loud booming one!) is trying to get their attention and wants be heard, it is often confusing just how to go about doing so. 

One method is trial and error, which can work but tends to be haphazard. A small percentage of people “get it” right away. Many others, though, tend to wander down bunny trails or worse, end up following shiny object paths that can be extremely detrimental to the person both physically and spiritually. There are energies and entities just waiting for an unsuspecting soul to open a door or gateway, providing access and even a path into their most basic essence where they can play negative games and in many cases take control or affect health. [Always remember that just because you can not see them does not mean they have your best interest at heart!] Having someone who knows, sees, understands what is involved in spiritual development and can help guide you is your safest and best way to get where you are going on your path. 

Good, strong, healthy, positive spiritual development takes time and discipline. There is no fast solution nor “nirvana by noon”. There is not a pill to take, or a stone to buy that as promised will solve all your problems. Quick fixes and outside objects are not going to fix what is at dis-ease in your system. Some of them such as stones may be aids, but others simply put you in the ditch. Only concentrated work, positive affirmations, structure in working through energy and issues, and disciplined practice will change what you allow into your energy field and life. Depending on your individual circumstances it can be an easy, new way of doing things, or a very challenging one. 

There are mountains of books and self-proclaimed “gurus” in the world that will advise, tell, cajole, push, demand, attempt to control and some will tell you if you just spend more money on “x” you will reach enlightenment. Becoming empowered and enlightened does not work that way. It only works when you do the work to improve the self-talk in your head and you do the things your body needs to heal, improve, calm, and grow. It is daunting, to say the least, to try and sort through the myriad of supposedly guaranteed ways thrown onto your new path that try to get you to follow one versus another.  

Spiritual enlightenment and spiritual development are two different parts of your journey that travel hand-in-hand. While not every book nor self proclaimed teacher is all wrong, many of them have no training and no background to support what they claim to be their way of reaching the Universe. As a Fellow of the Lily Dale Assembly, New York, I come trained in spiritual development by some of the most respected spiritual teachers, mediums, intuitives, and spiritualist leaders in the world. Lily Dale has been doing serious work in the spiritual realms since 1879. It is the largest organization in the world for support and training of spiritualist religion and free thinkers. Also referred to as “the City of Light”, Lily Dale has a very stringent, strict, disciplined program of training for people with spiritual gifts and only after many years of training and testing is one voted on by assembly asked to be appointed as a Fellow. The reasons for this level of expectation is obvious, as people seeking spiritual guidance and coaching are at their most vulnerable place, and their soul literally is at stake. As the ancient writings state, of those whom much is given, much is expected. As a fifth generation spiritual medium, I take my training and responsibility to my students and clients extremely seriously. 

I truly believe spiritual coaching is one of the most important tasks I can take on. When a student comes to me requesting guidance, I have a moral, ethical responsibility to be frank, honest, compassionate, and caring while giving them the absolute best teaching and guidance I can based on many years of training and practice. It is often hard for new seekers to sort out and find a path that is healthy, positive, and works for them. A knowledgeable guide and teacher who can explain, lead, guide, suggest, and oversee those life changing steps on the new path can make a lifetime of difference.

No one else can walk and develop on The Path for you, it is yours and yours alone.  Helping people see that path and finding a safe way through is my job as a spiritual coach. If that means having you examine and decide and deduce when something is not in your best interest or is unhealthy, that, too, is part of my job. Every person is different and every person needs to know the unique, special part they play in the universe. It is music to my soul to see the lights go off and flash brightly when my coaching students find the next step. 

Spiritual coaching is not for everyone, as everyone is not necessarily ready to pursue the rigors and discipline of an enlightened path. [It does get a lot easier as you work through things, I promise.] The first thing you need to concentrate on is clearing out your self-talk and thinking. Once started and somewhat stable, that provides a stronger, cleaner slate for your spiritual development to begin in earnest.
