As both a medical professional and medical intuitive, I know and have witnessed a wide variety of things that cause illness. Some of them are real, physical, and need direct medical care. Others are emotional, psychological, and spiritual in nature, and they, too, need care. How one approaches these issues varies among people and cultures based on common knowledge, scientific fact, and spiritual belief. Some people have the innate ability to focus on prayer, energy movement, meditation, affirmations, and alternative healing methods, while others simply need pure allopathic medical treatment. The healing one may achieve heavily rides on the patient’s mindset and discipline, along with appropriate advice and follow through, no matter whether the professional you seek help from is a “regular” doctor or someone with enhanced abilities. Any form of psychic surgery used to assist in areas that normal medicine usually does not address or attempts to medicate is a two-way interaction. 

 One of those areas is psychic surgery. Psychic surgery is a very controversial subject in some circles due to the emotional, spiritual nature of the work. Modern medicine is skeptical as it is not something that can be empirically tested. They are quick, though, to call things “miracles” when healing happens and turn around occurs with people’s health and mental approach to life. The changes can range from stopping addictive behavior to tumor and cancer disappearance. Sometimes these changes occur when traditional medicine has given up, cannot find a cause, or simply is misdirected, often due to the patient not sharing information or telling the truth so the practitioner can make an accurate assessment. Any and all healing starts with honesty - both on the part of the patient and the practitioner. And sometimes that honesty is “tough love”. 

Psychic surgery has been around for thousands of years, primarily in the Orient. Not all things can be helped with psychic surgery, but not all things can be healed with allopathic medicine, either. It is never recommended or suggested you should replace qualified medical care with alternative methods of removing, altering, or breaking down an internal, physical issue. It is your choice, however, to investigate and utilize whatever helps you get better, improve, and heal. 

Traditional psychic surgery is commonly referred to as “bloodless surgery”. Most people are aware of it through news programs or sensational metaphysical videos where is it often performed in a remote area of the world (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, parts of Africa and eastern Europe) done with no blood being apparent, anesthesia, sterile working conditions, or other practices utilized in western medicine. The practitioner is usually known for their work, their psychic abilities, and often, their following. These priests/shamans/ministers/healers/ psychic surgeons (there are lots of names for them) appear to remove tumors, break down cancer, and remove or repair internal organs. Some of them have no direct contact with the person, others appear to insert their hands into the person to remove the offending item. There is no wound left, usually no blood, and there are varying results on the subsequent condition of the person receiving the treatment.  It is worth noting that patients rarely experience any physical pain in these exchanges, truly an example of “mind over matter”. 

Much of psychic surgery is based on prayer, belief, rituals including herbs, plants, and other materials, and other spiritual connections the healer has with the Universe. There are widely varying results for psychic surgery, but if you have ever been in the presence of a valid healer with these abilities, the air in the space literally vibrates and has an electrical charge. Often the hair on your body will stand on end, you will get goosebumps, and can even perceive tiny snapping sounds as the energy transmits. The true healers who do the real bloodless surgery are highly developed adepts who are very spiritual people, grounded and extremely strong in their belief systems. 

 Psychic surgery in modern times has had a springboard off a more known modality, that being Reiki. As an Usui Fire Reiki Master, I have been trained in methods of using energy to isolate, imbue, and change the energy of internal issues in the body. Psychic surgery work is a two-way street between the practitioner and the patient, as the practitioner has to be working for the highest good of the patient and the patient has to have both a belief system in healing and the ability to plug into Universal Energy and their own healing abilities. They also have to be honest with the practitioner, as well as open to working with alternative forms of treatment. 

Reiki is very old - 2,500 years old. It was a healing art prevalent in Asia and in the same schools of thought as Qi Gong (energy movement) but was pretty much unknown in the western world until the early 20th century. Rediscovered by Dr. Mikaeo Usui, the teachings were standardized and clarified so those desiring to do energy healing work had a clear set of teachings and standards to follow. My Reiki lineage leads directly back to Dr. Usui.

Reiki is a holistic method that believes the person and their health is an integration of body, mind, and spirit. Reiki does not separate out pure scientific-based physical issues from how the emotions, psyche, and consciousness of a person affects their health. If you think you are not affected by your emotions and mind, have something really negative or saddening happen and see how unsettled and physically lousy you feel. Or something that angers you, and it raises your blood pressure, may make you nauseous, and other reactions. Or have something terrifying happen - and see how hard your body crashes as soon as the terror is removed.  

There is a direct link between emotions, psychological well being, and spiritual issues to your physical health.  A person’s mind and emotional wants can absolutely make them sick, for everything from gaining attention to gaining control. Sadly, if there is a “pandemic”, people ignoring their own behavior and responsibility in making themselves sick surely is just that. For any type of alternative energy work to “work”, the person has to be willing to take responsibility, face the facts, and be participatory in their own healing. This includes honesty and making a valid effort in the process of analysis and getting well. 

Modern medicine is finally starting to recognize and realize the strong connection between mind and health. Negative emotions, trauma, stress, and psychological issues can all create the appearance of or the actual problem of a true physical ailment.  Those same emotions and psychological belief systems figure heavily in survival by people who have experienced extreme physical trauma, difficult major surgeries, and other high risk for mortality challenges. Modern medicine is also finally beginning to recognize the power of prayer and meditation for dealing with and overcoming a number of varying health conditions. 

Psychic surgery in Reiki is a high level utilization of the energy work Reiki is known for. The practitioner uses energy either in person or at a distance to “view” what is going on in the body and applies energy to isolate, remove, or reduce the issue. Only high level Reiki masters are taught this ability as it is very sensitive and requires someone dedicated and focused on the well being of the person they are working with. It can only be done with the permission of the individual - no secret, behind someone’s back directed healing to someone else, period. It involves clearing and healing a wound at a deep level, and often results in learning what is actually the root cause of the problem. Some issues take only one session, some take several. And often there is information received about the correct direction the person needs to take to achieve long lasting results for healing to occur. This could be an actual diagnosed physical issue, an emotional issue causing trauma, or a psychological state. It is always done in and from a positive, white Light position. 

The tools for Reiki psychic surgery are the hands, symbols, and the heart. The energy is directed where it needs to go to remove negative energy, to clear blockages in energy flow (chi, prana), and sometimes physical ailments. It often involves visualization and setting intent, and may involve removal of energies, entities, and other things that block, alter, or harm. It may also involve sacred symbols that are “inscribed” with the hands to add protection, healing, sealing, and blessing to the session. Just as many traditions have sacred symbols, sigils (sacred and mostly ancient scribed symbols representing higher beings such as archangels), and motions, so does Reiki 

I am a firm believer in the healing power of both Reiki and properly applied psychic surgery for the healing of emotions and psychological challenges that result in physical problems. One of the things done by many Reiki Masters around the country is the imbuing (energizing and blessing to be stored and passed on) of stuffed animals. These stuffed friends are then donated to ride with law enforcement to be utilized when they have children in traumatic situations. You can literally see the child melt into the new friend and relax, release emotions, and otherwise feel safer for having been given one of the empowered toys. They are especially helpful in abuse situations, whether it be mental, physical, or sexual.
